Canine Rabies Virus Real-time PCR Test Kit can be used to detect RV nucleic acid in canine and feline mouth, nose and eye swab, which is rapid and accurate.

Rabies virus (RV) is a preventable viral disease most often transmitted through the bite of a rabid animal. The rabies virus infects the central nervous system of mammals, ultimately causing disease in the brain and death. Animals most likely to transmit rabies in the United States include bats, coyotes, foxes, raccoons and skunks. In developing countries, stray dogs are the most likely to spread rabies to people.

This kit uses fluorescence probe PCR (RT-PCR) method to detect the deserved gene of RV, which is helpful for diagnosis, monitoring and epidemiological investigation of RV.
