iQuanti Zearalenone ZON/F2-toxin Rapid Test Kit

Zearalenone (ZON, ZEN, or F2-toxin) is a non-steroidal estrogenic mycotoxin produced by several Fusarium species, notably F. graminearum and F. culmorum. It occurs mainly in maize, wheat, barley, oats, sorghum and rice, and is often found alongside deoxynivalenol (DON) because both are Fusarium metabolites. Zearalenone is a significant animal-health concern, particularly in swine, where it causes hyperestrogenism, infertility, abortion and reduced feed intake. Ruminants, poultry and companion animals are also affected. Because zearalenone is stable during grain storage, milling and standard cooking processes, routine screening of feed and raw grain is essential for herd productivity and regulatory compliance. The iQuanti Zearalenone ZON / F2-toxin Rapid Test Kit is a quantitative competitive immunoassay lateral flow test using a high-affinity monoclonal antibody against zearalenone. Results are read on the iQuanti / NB Fast Reader for accurate on-site quantitation, and the kit's detection limit meets both European Union and USA MRLs when used correctly.

Application

This kit can be used to quantitatively detect zearalenone in maize, wheat and feed samples.

Performance

Limit of detection: 25μg/kg (ppb). Range of quantitation: 0 - 500μg/kg (ppb). Sample-to-result: approximately 10 minutes after extraction.
